Initial Enquiry
If you are in need of a tutor for 1-on-1 residential tutoring or homeschooling, please contact us and someone from our team will get back to you.
Matching
The process begins with us reaching out and interviewing tutors to determine their suitability for your particular request. We look at their academic background and tutoring experience, and compare it to your needs, availability, location, and budget. We also consider the best personality fit for the student. You don't pay anything unless you decide to go ahead with one of the tutors we suggest.
Shortlist
We send a selection of tutor profiles which best fit your requirements. The profiles come with the tutor’s background verification – Qualification, relevant teaching experience, employment references, health checks, Physical Address, Identity verification and criminal record. Once you have reviewed the profiles, you can decide which tutor you would like to work with or if you would like to see more options. It is not uncommon for clients to want to have a quick chat with the tutor before booking a lesson.
Initial Session
Clients book an initial session with their chosen tutor to see if they will be a good fit. Some tutors may suggest a brief phone call with the student before the first lesson so that they can hit the ground running. During the initial lesson, the tutor will take some time to get to know the student, as well as assess their current abilities, identify their specific needs and objectives, and devise a plan for future sessions.
Feedback
We will check in with you after your first lesson to see how everything went. In the great majority of cases, clients are thrilled and want to continue. If a client is unsure or unhappy with their experience, they are not obligated to continue with further lessons. They are, however, welcome to try a lesson with a different tutor at any time.
Reports
Tutors submit reports periodically to update clients on the student's progress and next steps.
Students' Rate & Review Each Session
Students or Parents rate their tutor after their session. Tutors are rated on three main criteria: their knowledge of the material, presentation of the material and their promptness online or in-person to deliver lessons.
Tutors Guarantee Their Services
When a client schedules a tutor, payment is made before the first session, but the funds are held for 48 hours before being transferred to the tutor’s account in Learnex Gate. If a client wants a refund for any reason, 100% of the funds are returned to the client instead of the tutor. Tutors are simply not allowed to sign up for Learnex Gate unless they first agree to guarantee their services. Therefore, there is absolutely no risk for you to schedule a tutor, as your money is safe with Learnex Gate should there be a problem. As you can imagine, this means that only the best tutors sign up in the first place.
